Sandgate District State High School has modern classrooms with funky furniture, electronic whiteboards or LED interactive panels and wireless connectivity in every room. Science is taught in six well equipped recently built laboratories with flexible furniture, technology, storage and the ability to conduct experiments in an outdoor learning space. Other specialist facilities include music, performing arts, mathematics, visual arts, home economics, design and technology, library resource centre, computer laboratories and a Year 7 teaching block. Sport is well served with irrigated high quality playing fields, sports hall with gymnasium, multipurpose courts and a swimming pool. A master plan for the school grounds has been developed and is being progressed as funding becomes available.
