Sandgate District State High School has once again partnered with Deception Bay State High School as the Registered Training Organisation, RTO Code 30380. They will supply training and assessment materials and will issue the final qualification or statement of attainment to your student. Delivery of the course will be over a period of two years and assessment comprises of theory, vocational work placement and simulated training. The content of the course will be delivered in the classroom, face to face and supported by vocational work placement.
Participation in a compulsory Vocational Placement (day care centre) for a minimum of 160 hours in a registered childcare facility is necessary for successful completion of the Certificate. Students will have a Student Training Book that will need to be signed each time they attend Vocational Placement (day care centre). All students enrolled in this qualification are required to hold a valid blue card prior to commencing child-related work or activities. This will be organised in class. Your child's teacher will organise this for them. Blue cards for students are valid for three years.
Below you will find what your student will be receiving once completed along with the fee of $200. If you believe that you will not be able to meet the financial requirements of these subjects please contact Mr Hatch at the school immediately to initiate a subject change.
